We ride south including a right jog onto 226 Ave. W. before turning left onto 112th St. S.W. completing the first arm to the t- intersection at SR 549 and returning to the corner of 226 Ave. W. There we make a left turn to proceed up and over the road to Nepal. If you turn around at the bottom stop sign located at RR 192 you will come back just short of 1000 meters of climbing. To complete the plus challenge continue to ride west across highway 22 and climb the steep grade up to where there is a right turn towards Priddis. Don't turn, rather turn around and return to the parking lot via the road to Nepal. See map link for route and elevation details Click Klimb a Kilo map here

Required Items to Bring:
Sufficient gearing and leg strength and endurance to climb a 12% grade amongst several that touch double digits in % grade.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
cell phone, fuel food & water bottle

How to Get There:
Event Directions:south on 37th St. to the parking spaces between the divided 22X highway lanes or west on 22X to the parking spaces between the divided 22X highway lanes. Please note: This is a popular start location for cycling so in the event that the limited parking is full my suggestion is to travel south from the intersection and park well off the shoulder either on the south or north bound directions of 96 St. W.

This is a training ride with lots of hill climbs that are better attempted by riding within your own capabilities rather than trying to stay with a stronger rider. Ideally we have one or more riding companions that are close to our own fitness levels.
