Meet in NW Calgary (yet to be determined) early on Saturday morning and load gear & bikes into the 15 passenger van and trailer operated by Canusa Cycle Tours. Arrive in Hope, BC Saturday evening to prep bikes, enjoy a wine and cheese party and fluff the pillows in our hotel rooms. This is a fully supported trip where riders can pedal as much or as little as they wish as the support vehicle will be available to pick up tired riders along the way. Accommodations are hotels based on double occupancy. The trip includes transportation from Calgary, hotels, itinerary & maps, 6 days of riding and the opportunity to explore the Gold Rush town of Barkerville. Approximately 650 kilometres of riding with 7000 meters of climbing. For more information on this trip go to My Site

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Coordinator is currently putting the details of the trip together. Watch for more information to be posted over the coming months. For more information on this trip go to My Site

Notes:
Though this ride is rated as advanced, the trip is not exclusive to the extremely fit. Because we have a support vehicle along the ride at all times with the capability of carrying riders and bikes, a tired rider can catch a lift at anytime to take a break from the kilometres. However registrants should have a good base of mileage & fitness, including some multi day experience to fully enjoy this trip.
- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EVCC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EVCC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you or your guest(s) cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow the rules of the road at all times while participating in EVCC events.
- Details of this event are subject to undergo a change at any point in time, with or without warning.
- Notice any errors or problems in the information on this page? Please notify our Webmaster(s), webmaster@elbowvalleycc.org, at Webmaster.

Cost & Payment:

Cost Includes:Final trip cost is yet to be determined but I anticipate it to be $950.00 to $1,200 dependant on the number of participants. Registrants will be required to send in their application & waiver, along with a deposit cheque within 2 weeks of signing up. In the event that a registrant does not send the required paperwork and deposit to this coordinator in a timely fashion, their name may be moved to the wait list if there are other members wishing to register for the trip. Cost includes transportation to and from Calgary for you and your bike, SAG support by Canusa during the trip, 8 nights of hotels, 6 days of riding, detailed itinerary with maps, some meals and a wine and cheese party.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please read the following Cancellation Policy carefully!
*Note: I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of the things we want to do, however coordinating a multi-day event requires that I have firm numbers for reservations and budgeting.  Hence the cancellation policy is thus: 30 days prior to tour departure – Full refund 15 days prior to tour departure – 50% refund. This is due to fixed costs that have already been incurred on your behalf. Less than 15 days, no refunds. Note: if a paying replacement is found to take your seat, then you will receive a full refund. In the event that the tour must be altered or rerouted there will not be any refunds however the coordinator and club will work towards finding another date, route or recovering some or all of the fixed costs for participants. In the unlikely event that the tour is entirely cancelled, your money will be fully refunded. If you book an airline flight before or after the trip, you should purchase cancellation insurance in the event the trip is cancelled as the club is not responsible for refunding the cost of airline flights that are not included in the trip fee. Upon request, a full refund may be granted by either the trip coordinator or the executive based on compassionate or medical grounds.
