Itinerary:
The tour will be coordinated by Merv Matson and Sandra Kunzel. For more details on the trip go to Sandra's Website. Held during the Heritage Day (or Civic Holiday) long weekend (Friday July 30 to Monday August 2 in 2010), this hub and spoke trip offers a rich choice of fun-in-the-sun activities in a beautiful mountain playground. There is no need for everyone to do the same thing each day since camp does not move. Three days of cycling or a mix of cycling, hiking, swimming, and even golf are possible. Since it's car camping you can bring all your toys and make a comfortable camp around the fire pit. We will have no group vehicle support, but of course you can do your own from camp. A common schedule is to conquer challenging Logan Pass on Saturday, hike or play on the beach and water on Sunday, and wind up with a gentle ride on a quiet mountain forest road on Monday. The cycling climb to Logan Pass is the only reason this trip should be considered advanced, and some choose to skip that in favor of a day at the lake or a hike starting at the Pass summit. But bicycling is undoubtedly the best way to see one of the prettiest mountain passes in North America. Accommodation will be camping in West Glacier, Montana.

Required Items to Bring:
USA border-crossing documents. Personal travel insurance covering USA. A good quality, well fitted helmet.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Typically: On Friday drive from Calgary to West Glacier Montana (about 370 km via Logan Pass) and set up camp at the Glacier Campground. Saturday and Sunday break into groups according to choice of activity. On Monday morning pack up camp before the last day's activity, then drive home.

Notes:
The fee stated is a maximum. We may be able to drop it a bit, so don't send in your cheque until it's finalized in June. Trip difficulty can be easy to challenging; you decide day to day. Not sure you want to challenge the great Pass? Try it. If it does not work out that day, just turn around and coast down. If you can do The Golden Triangle you can surely do Logan Pass.
