Itinerary:
Basic Bicycle Mechanic Course - This mechanical course is suitable for all types of bikes and will cover basic bike knowledge that riders should have. Subjects covered: How to change a flat tire. When to replace your old tires and tubes? Road side emergency breakdowns and repairs. What tools should I carry with me on my bike? My chain broke, what do I do? When should I replace my chain? How to wash & clean your bike. I can’t shift into some of my gears. How do I fix that? Tune up the derailleurs and shifter. What oil should I use? How much lube do I need? Are my brakes worn out? My brakes don’t wear evenly, how do I adjust them? What repairs and maintenance can I do on my own? When should my bike see a mechanic? Cranked will provide bikes & equipment to practice on. Participants will receive a Cranked water bottle & $10 gift certificate. Participants in this course will be offered the option to purchase an All in One Basic Mechanic kit at a discounted price. About Cranked, Nick & Cody: One of the great things about the Cranked shop is, the owner, Nick Lynem and/or his 2nd in command Cody Bell are always there. From BMX to mountain bikes, sleek road racers to children's bikes, they can advise and maintain your bike. Both Cody and Nick are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Cranked has been in Airdrie for almost 7 years. Nick’s Bio: Started Cranked in 2003. Raced X-country mountain bikes. Road Racer for 7 years, 3 of which were on the national pro. circuit for Gary Fischer & Giant. Coached the Critical Speed Tri Group. Cody’s Bio: Raced BMX for 10 years, 2 seasons on the Junior Mens Pro circuit. 8 years of experience working on bikes. Specialized Bicycle Component University Bachelors Program (Montreal, 2009) If minimum numbers of registrants has not been achieved by March 22, the course may be cancelled and payment will be returned.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:North on Highway #2 to Airdrie, West on 567 (Exit #285), right on Main Street (watch for Rexall Drugstore), first left on Stonegate Drive (set of lights), first driveway into the strip mall. First left and Cranked is on the left

Notes:
I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of the things we want to do, however coordinating a paid event requires firm numbers and commitments.  Hence the cancellation policy for this event is thus: 15 days prior to event – Full refund 14 days prior to event – No refund, unless a paying replacement is found to take your seat. If the event is cancelled, your money will be fully refunded. Upon request, a full refund may be granted by either the trip coordinator or the executive based on compassionate or medical grounds. 
- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EVCC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EVCC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you or your guest(s) cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow the rules of the road at all times while participating in EVCC events.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:
Please read the following Cancellation Policy carefully!
*Note: Payment must be received in a timely fashion after registration. Upon registration, this coordinator will contact you by phone or email and give you my mailing address. Please mail or drop off your payment to my mailing address. Do Not send payment to the EVCC address. With less than 14 days to the event, there is no cancellations or refunds unless there is a replacement found to take your place.
