Canola Fields Fondo – A Scenic Gravel Adventure

Enjoy a beautiful ride through vibrant canola fields with a mix of gravel and pavement surfaces. The route is quite rideable including the single track sections.

Key highlights:

Mixed surfaces: mostly gravel with some single track and pavement stretches

Single track sections are not maintained roads but are on road allowances. They may be muddy, rutted, grassy, etc.

Estimated return to the golf course by 2:00 PM, perfect timing for a post-ride refreshment

E-bikes and mountain bikes welcome.

You should have tires at least 37 mm wide

More wildlife and less traffic than hard-surface rides

We will regroup at intersections. No one will be left behind. E bikes are welcome.

This is a good ride to do if you are new to gravel riding. We meet at the Madden community Centre near the golf course. Washrooms outside golf course clubhouse.

This is a scenic ride past small ponds and rolling hills. We will regroup at intersections and stop occasionally for water breaks. This is a 54 km mainly gravel route.

This ride is suitable for a bike with treaded tires that are at least 32mm wide. Return to the golf course for social.
