Grand tour of the lakes, canals and new neighbourhoods of Airdrie using the city’s extensive pathway system.

Route. From Genesis Place, around East Lake, head south, Meadowbrook, Ravenswood and King’s Heights. Ride west, then north on the Nose Creek pathway, passing through Nose Creek Park, Ridgegate and Sunridge. Travel west and then south through Reunion, Sagewood, Canals and Bayside. Explore the south of Airdrie: Prairie Springs, Hillcrest and Coopers Crossing. Return north through Luxstone, then east through Edgewater back to Genesis.

The ride will have regrouping at intervals, corner guiding if necessary, and a sweep.

Bring lunch. Finish with coffee at Genesis Place.

(This ride makes up for the Best of Airdrie ride of May 31 cancelled because of rain.)
