Itinerary:
Haven't done this one in a few years, so come on out to Odlum pond. (It was about 5 years ago, so the flooding in 2013 may affect the route in places)
It is a small lake with a waterfall at the far end. It is short hike (may be rideable) of about 1KM to the lake from the end of the cycling trail. No need for hiking shoes as there is little elevation gain there. We will have a long, leisurely lunch there and enjoy the views and some sun!
Note: There is a crossing of the Highwood River near the beginning. At the time of posting, the rivers are quite low and is an easy crossing.

We will be starting at the Lineham Creek trail head which is 12 km's north of Highwood Junction. (Intersection of Hwy 40, Hwy 541, and SR 940)
This ride is an out and back about 26 kmís and not too difficult technically Ė mostly smoother double track. This area is not heavily traveled, so conditions may vary greatly.
We will be not be going at a fast pace, but please be sure you are capable of riding 26 kmís with more than 400 m elevation gain.

As the river crossing is near the beginning and end of the trip, you can bring some old shoes for the crossing, though there is another creek crossing also. That way you can keep your cycling shoes dry. Sometimes getting to the waterfall will mean wet feet though, should we want to go to the other side of the lake.

Stopping afterwards for food/refreshments is an option which has been popular in the past. (The Pub at Black Diamond has pretty good food) Please consider this when arranging carpools.
