|This is a point-to-point ride with return by
LRT. The Tuscany and the Rundle stations are
on the LRT Red and Blue lines. The idea is we
take our bikes to the start with our vehicles,
or by using the LRT; after the ride we return to
Tuscany or other point by LRT in small groups.
The ride is being staged on a Saturday, a day
when no time restriction applies for the
transport of bicycles on the LRT.|
Route. From Tuscay LRT station, we ride the
Rocky Ridge and Royal Oak pathways, then east on
the Rotary Matamy Greenway on
the north side of Stoney Trail, travelling
through Royal Vista, Sherwood, Simons Valley,
Kincora and the Evanston ponds.
The route then takes us through Hanson Ranch and
on along the Panorama and Harvest Hills
escarpment. We go along the
Airport Road pathway to
access Saddleridge and the Genesis Center where
we stop for lunch. Wraps and sandwiches with
chipotle and other delicacies are available at
the Jugo Juice shop in the center, but bring
your own fare if you wish.
We continue the ride in Taradale and Martindale,
follow the Whitehorn Greenway and finish at

|How to Get There:|
|Event Directions:||Please arrive 15 minutes before start. Parking
is plentiful and free on both sides of the
station on Saturdays. There is a public washroom
on the north side of the station.|
- Most club rides include city streets, secondary roads and or major highways. The club encourages members to follow the rules of the road at all times while participating in EVCC events.|
- Riders must be aware that cycling, while enjoyable and great exercise, carries some risks including injury and death. Riders must be alert for hazardous conditions/situations throughout the course of a ride. If at any time a rider thinks a ride is unsafe, or feels unsafe, the rider should quit the ride.
