Where can you can you find warm ocean breezes and clear pavement in a Calgary winter during a pandemic lock-down? Drop in to the Zwift virtual cycling world -- a mythical place where fitness meets online gaming and riding in your basement becomes fun. 

In January, we kicked off a series of Zwift online meetups for EVCC members. So far, about 15 people have participated and we've worked out a few technical glitches. 

This week we rode by the ocean, in a jungle, and through a volcano in a virtual group ride through the imaginary world of "Watopia".  

A strong group, with Bob W leading up most of the hills and the rest of us chasing behind to keep up. Seasoned veteran Warren M (with almost 35,000 virtual km behind him!!) took some great photos during the ride. Thanks everyone who joined in. 

Based on the success of our first two rides, I will post more in February. Please note you need a "smart" trainer and a Zwift subscription to participate.
