Coordinator Bill Stilwell
The ride begins by riding east from the church parking lot to the intersection of city street 37th St. to the North and 96th St. W. in Foothills M.D. Turn right, south, We then ride south descending to a stop sign kitty-corner from Red Deer Meats. Turn right onto 226 Ave. W. before turning left onto 112th St. S.W. completing the first arm to the t-intersection at SR 549. Here is where many people take a drink and bite break. If you stop stay away from the intersection and well off the road so drivers are not confused and unnecessarily delayed. We are then turning back north and returning to the corner of 226 Ave. W. There we make a left turn to proceed up and over the nicknamed road to Nepal which becomes 274 Ave. W. If you turn around at the bottom stop sign located at RR 192 you will come back just short of 1000 meters of climbing.
To complete the Plus challenge, continue to ride west across highway 22 and climb the steep grade up to the summit where there is a right turn towards Priddis. Don't turn! Instead turn around and return to the parking lot via the road to Nepal.
