Mackenzie, Copperfield, Mahogany, Auburn Bay 45

The communities visited in this ride all have lakeside pathways.

The route starts at the Ranch parking lot in Fish Creek Park, crosses the Bow River, circles around Mackenzie Lake, and enters Mackenzie Town, where we see Inverness Lake, Georgian architecture, attractive housing and the Mackenzie Hill Lookout. The route goes through New Brighton parkland, travels through Copperfield end to end, circles around Mahogany, and transits Auburn Bay. Lunch is at Good Earth Coffeehouse in Cranston. The return is along the Cranston escarpment.

The ride will have regrouping at intervals, corner guiding if necessary, and a sweep. Bring lunch to eat outside if you prefer. Bring your route tracking device for more enjoyment, and the possibility of leading this ride or a good variant next year.

Location: Ranch at Fish Creek. Directions: Drive south on Bow Bottom Trail almost to the end; turn right into the Ranch parking lot. Please arrive 15 minutes before start.
