Road Ride:  Easy Rider

Coordinator:  Celia Norman

Distance:  60 km

Pace:  16 - 19 kph

Elevation Gain:  350 meters

You may be wondering what is an "Easy Rider". I define this as a person who wants a ride of intermediate distance (55 to 75 kms) at a leisurely pace (16 to 19 km/hr).

This ride starts at  Bow Valley Provincial Park in the parking lot for the information centre. We will ride to Canmore on highway 1A,  have either a picnic lunch or a sandwich from the Rocky Mountain Flatbread company, then we will return the same way.  I will offer the option of a short tour of the riverside in Canmore, adding up to 5 kms. Another option is to ride the paved trails in Bow Valley Park.

As we ride we will have beautiful mountain vistas. We will stop at several viewpoints to appreciate it more and take photos.

The group will be small and I hope we will stay together.
