69 St. WestSide King's Church to Bragg Creek - Bill Stilwell

One of the favourite rides for some while others call it same old same old. Wheels will roll at 10:30 a.m. Parking is facilitated by the church with a sign reserving parking for cyclists on the west portion of their large parking lot.

We will proceed out to Lower Springbank Rd. via transiting Springbank Blvd. With stops at the Springbank Community Centre, Range Road 35, Highway 22 and the first entrance to Redwood Meadows before rolling into Bragg Creek.

We will stop for snacks and if a coffee shop is able to accommodate us we can grab a drink before returning. The snacks and water you bring should be sufficient in the event that no sources are available throughout the trip.

The return route will be north on highway 22 right on Township road 240, east on Highway 8, right on Range Road 32 through Elbow Valley community on Lot Creek Dr. We exit turning right onto Highway 8 crossing Elbow River and negotiating the construction road to access the far west entrance to Discovery Ridge via a short gravel road / pathway onto Discovery Ridge Blvd. We use the traffic lights to cross Glenmore Trail and return to our vehicles. 

The total distance is 66 k with 350 m elevation gain. 

The pace will allow us to enjoy the sites not to train at speed.
