Format: Week 3 DIY - Do It Yourself 

This is not a group ride, only a weekly suggestion for a ride that you could do on your own. 

No registration  is required.

Level: Advanced

Distance: 110km (or 70km if starting at Turner Valley)

Elevation Gain: 1107m (or 781m if starting at Turner Valley) 

Note that the first and the last 5km are along the busy highway (with a large shoulder).  You may choose to shorten this route by starting from Turner Valley.

Big Rock is a 16,500-tonne boulder that was originally part of a mountain formation in what is now Jasper National Park. During the last ice age, about 30,000 years ago, during the last ice age, the rock was carried across the mountains and Athabasca river.

Bluerock Wildland Provincial Park is a  provincial park located 15 km west of  Turner Valley, along highway 546. Enjoy the Sheep river falls at the turnaround point.

Ride a full 110km and enjoy lunch at Big Rock, the food will taste amazing!
