Grand Valley and Horse Creek Road loop

This is a Since We Missed It (due to rain) rather than In Case You Missed It

I figured that 1) with the theme being "In Case You Missed It", 2) this ride was cancelled due to wet weather, 3) there is a dearth of local (i.e., non-Banff) road rides this week except for the usual two evening rides, and 4) the weather forecast is FANTASTIC all week, I thought I could offer this ride again. So it is a "Since you missed it last week" ride!

Pace: 22-25 km/h 

Elevation Gain: 349 m

Meeting place: Mountain Ridge Plaza, Cochrane (Corner of Bow Valley Trail and Horse Creek Road)

Wheels rolling @ 10:00 a.m. - please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can start on time

Let's enjoy a shorter ride and enjoy the vistas of Grand Valley and the return to Cochrane on Horse Creek Road.

Those wishing an even shorter ride can skip the last 4 km on Grand Valley Road and turn straight onto Township Rd 280, making a 52 km ride. The rest of us will cycle to the end of the road before turning around and heading back to Township Rd 280 for a 60 km ride. Another option is to add a side trip to Bottrel General Store for an extra 22 km (not shown on the map).
