This week's theme is "In Case You Missed It" (#ICYMI)

In case you missed hill training opportunities this season, it is not too late. Here is a repeat of our hill training session but this time is aimed on beginner skills only.

Coordinator: Tanya Colwell

Description: This is a skill development session targeted to urban/road cyclists that would like to improve their hill climbing technique. Whatever you ride, hills are a challenge that every cyclist faces. Learning how to climb hills is a key skill, especially for relatively new cyclists.

Our session will cover the following skills and individual feedback will be provided on:

- Basics about gearing, when to shift and how

- Body and foot position when climbing

- Pedal stroke when climbing - different cadences and how they feel

Where: Meet at 5:15pm at the main parking lot of Glenbow Parking Provincial Park, Cochrane. Glenbow Provincial Park is chosen for this training since it is on the pathways, away from traffic and has some small hills that are good for skill development.

What bike: road, hybrid or commuter bike (with straight handle bars) is okay for this session , no e-bikes or mountain bikes please.

Please note:  To cancel your registration, make sure you are signed into the system, click on the "already registered" button, then click the "Cancel Registration" button.
