Zwift Virtual Ride Kick-Off – 60 mins – Heather O

Welcome to the EVCC's 2021/22 Zwift indoor riding season! 

KICK-OFF SOCIAL RIDE - All levels

Coordinator: Heather Opseth

Route: Watopia Sand and Sequoias

Distance: This will be a 60-minute timed ride. We will do the 20 km Sand and Sequoias loop, then continue about halfway round a second lap to complete the 60 minutes. 

This is a social ride on a relatively easy route -- a good intro to the indoor riding season with the club.

We will use the meetup feature in-game, with "Keep Everyone Together" mode for a fun group ride, suitable for all levels and speeds. No one gets left behind (unless you stop pedalling!)

Quick instructions: 

• Register in the EVCC system as per a usual ride
• Next, you must follow me in Zwift @Heather Opseth EVCC
• When you follow me in Zwift, I will send you a meetup invitation in-game
• Set up a Discord account if you don't have one and join the EVCC Discord Channel. We will use Discord to voice chat "live" during the ride
• Join the meetup and the Discord ride audio channel between 6:15 and 6:25 p.m. to allow time for intros and chit chat
• The ride automatically starts on time!
