How to Use Ride With GPS for Coordinators

Don and Beth will show ride coordinators how to get started with this very useful and free new navigation tool.  

This session is for all event coordinators.  Participants will learn how to use the browser based RWGPS EVCC club account .

Before the session, using the browser feature on your laptop or tablet, access the club's RWGPS account website by going to the EVCC website's Member Resources Tab and click Ride With GPS. 

Then click the link in the second sentence in Step 2.

This will lead you through the process of creating a personal RWGPS account if you don't already have one.

Once you show as a club member on the RWGPS account, we will give you Route Manager status.  This status allows you to create route files and use all the advance route file editing features on the club's premium paid account.  (As an EVCC member and coordinator, you should never have to pay to use RWGPS.)

We'll do a Q&A and discuss how to create a new route from scratch, add it to the club's route library and show you how to share it in your event description. 

It would be helpful if participants are familiar with using RWGPS route files on their mobile or dedicated (e.g., Garmin) devices.  We will cover this later in the zoom session.
