2 DAY Event - Chain Lakes to Pincher Creek (return). Intermediate/Advanced. 200 km. Sue Gillies

 ROAD RIDE - LEVEL (Intermediate/Advanced)

Distance:  200 kms (100 km per day)

Pace:  About 20 kmph (depends on wind)

Elevation Gain:  About 1000m each day

 

This is an out-and-back ride on Highway 22 (The Cowboy Trail) from Chain Lakes Provincial Park to Pincher Creek on Monday, returning on Tuesday.  We will overnight in Pincher Creek.  Please make your own accommodation arrangements.  I have booked in to the Travelodge and can take a roommate (must be fully vaccinated).  This is very short notice, but I suddenly have an opening in my calendar and the winds look favourable (well, maybe not favourable but at least not gruesome)

We will meet at Chain Lakes PP.  Turn west off of Hwy 22 and drive .4km towards the park.  Turn left at the Ranchlands Admin Building.  Park by the "Muster Point" sign.  Please arrive early so that you are ready to ride by 10am.
