RIDE - LEVEL:  Intermediate

Coordinator:  Jeff Harris

Distance:  70-74 km

Pace:  18-22 km/hr

Elevation Gain:  < 300 m

E-Bikes allowed:  Y

A mostly out and back pathway ride from the Cranston Market to Chestermere with washrooms and Quick-E-Marts close by.   The Chestermere section of the ride is on roads around the lake.  There is 0.5km of good gravel at the South end of the lake that has to be traversed.

Ride along Cranston Ridge and on through Seton, skirting Mahogany and Copperfield. There is a plan to ride through the Ralf Klein Park access and pass by the washrooms if required. Then through Shepard and onto the Western Headworks irrigation canal pathway, avoiding most of the tree root intrusions that come into the pathway along the western part of the canal.  Bring food for a lunch stop at a Chestermere lake Park (Tim's across the street if required).

Return via the canal pathway and though Copperfield, Auburn Bay and Seton  This route was chosen to keep the ride as flat as possible while avoiding tree roots along the canal.
