Appetizer Ride

Distance: Will match the time allotted for the ride (1hr.). 9 km to 12km maximum.

This will be a gentle ride along the river valley. Alongside the ZOO via Fort Calgary and back to the start through quiet Bridgeland Streets.  Mostly dedicated bike paths but there may be some short sections on quiet residential streets. If time permits we could ride a short distance up Nose Creek at least as far as the SPARKS Centre.

 Difficulty: EASY excerpt for the hill. HOWEVER... To access the river valley pathway we will need to go DOWN the hill into the valley and then back UP the hill to return to the start point. Be prepared and willing to ride up the hill. This will improve your appetite.

Meeting point will be Bridgeland Park at 7th Ave and 6th street NE.. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin; Ukrainian Catholic Church is kitty corner from the park.

We want to be finished no later than 5 pm for pizza at Pizza Culture Napolitano 1114 Edmonton Trail NE. There should be parking available around this park or in nearby streets. The Pizza place is about 6 blocks to the NW.
