Canmore to Castle Mountain Junction - 107km, int/adv, Patty West

RIDE - LEVEL:  intermediate pace, advance for distance

Time:  Wheels rolling at 10AM.  Please arrive early to give yourself time to get organized.  We will have a quick pre-ride meeting at 9:50 prior to departing. 

Distance:  107 km

Pace:  23-25 km/hr

Elevation Gain:  840 m

E-Bikes allowed:  yes

Ride Info: For a trip to the mountains, starting from Canmore and riding the Legacy Trail, Vermillion Lakes Road and along the Bow Valley Parkway (1A). No traffic on Legacy Trail and Bow Valley Parkway to Johnston Canyon.  Minimal traffic in Banff townsite and between Johnston Canyon and Castle Junction.

No sweep.  We will re-group in both directions just before we enter into Banff townsite

Limited food/beverage for purchase at Castle…..bring your own sandwich is advised.

Safety: please ride single file in traffic areas.  

Ensure your bike is road worthy/well maintained. Bring necessary tools and spare tube to repair a flat.

Its the mountains and weather can change…dressing in layers in recommended including wind/rain jacket.
