Climb a Cilo For E-Bikes, Int/Adv Celia Norman

RIDE - LEVEL:  Intermediate - Advanced

Three options for this ride: 

Distance:   Gran 96k 

Elevation Gain: 1473 meters

Distance:   Medio 74km

Elevation Gain:  1219 meters

Distance:   Piccolo 50k

Elevation Gain:  735 meters

Pace:  23 -24 km/hr

E-Bikes allowed:  YES

Special Note for E-Bikes:  You must be sure that your battery power is sufficient for the distance and speed for this ride.

Lyle's Cranky friend wanted to know why E-Bikes were not allowed on the Klimb a Kilo event. I do not know the answer to that question but I do have a solution. I will lead a ride just for e-bikes.

To differentiate my ride from the other one, it is called "Climb a Cilo".

I will be riding the full 96km and I expect to do 23 - 24 km/hr. If you do not want to ride the full distance there are two other options:

1. Piccolo: ride with me Old Road to Nepal and back to the Church. We will part ways where Road to Nepal turns south at 42.5 km. You will have 7.5 km to ride back to the start. This is not a full "Cilo" but it is a very pleasant ride on its own.

2. Medio: Ride with me both Old and new road to Nepal and then head back to the start.

NOTE: It is important that you know the route you've chosen since all three routes do have some portions covering the same roadway and other riders following a different course may confuse you. Using the RwGPS app makes the ride more pleasurable since this app does all the route finding and displays it on a map as well as providing audio announcements of upcoming turns.
