3 DAY Event - Rides around Pincher Creek Intermediate/Advanced. 250 Km

 ROAD RIDE - LEVEL (Intermediate/Advanced)

Distance:  250 kms (approx 80 Km per day)

Pace:  About 23 kph (depends on wind)

Elevation Gain:  Less than 1000 M each day

 

This is a multi-day event starting Tuesday.  We have booked campsites at Cottonwood Provincial Park and there are motels to overnight in Pincher Creek.  Please make your own accommodation arrangements. If camping there is the river and the reservoir to cool down in after rides and there are showers at the Castleview Provincial Campground on the hill above Cottonwood. The rides will be different every day. The current schedule has us riding around the reservoir from the campground on Tuesday starting at 2 PM. This a a great ride of about 60 Km, minimal traffic, rolling terrain and great views of the mountains and plains. The following days have various options such as Twin Butte/Waterton, Beauvais Lake and Beaver Mines/Castle Mtn. 

We will meet at Cottonwood PP our sites are B-45 & B-47. There is visitor parking at the entrance to the campground. Meals are loosely organized and usually done informally, based on interest levels.
