Another highlight of the 2023 cycling season is our 2nd Hayride Fondo event, offering rides of various paces and distances along the vast fields of hay bales and distant views of the mountains in the South of Calgary.

New meeting place/parking: 

Due to Hayride Fondo's popularity, a larger parking space was needed. The new starting point is Heritage Pointe Soccer Fields- Access along Dunbow Road, either west from the Deerfoot or east from Highway 2A. Kindly use this area for parking: https://goo.gl/maps/mM6gToZwe5yb6oU39 

Route (thanks to Heather O for the route design): 

Starting east, we will ride a "hammer-like" looking loop first and then traverse west through the picturesque old road to Nepal to Millarville, journey onward via new road to Nepal then towards DeWinton. The second half of the ride presents the majority of the challenging hills, we will regroup at the major intersections. Anticipate well-deserved breaks every 50-60km as we pause at Heritage Point Plaza and at Millarville for snacks and to replenish hydration.

Apres-ride social: Please leave your vehicle at the soccer field and walk to the Stockman's restaurant & lounge for after the ride social.
