Pace: Intermediate. Slow climbing, fast descending.

New meeting place/parking: 

Due to Hayride Fondo's popularity, a larger parking space was needed. The new starting point is Heritage Pointe Soccer Fields-  Access along Dunbow Road, either west from the Deerfoot or east from Highway 2A. Kindly use this area for parking: https://goo.gl/maps/mM6gToZwe5yb6oU39 

Route:

Note: because of the need for cycling on roads with narrow or no shoulder it is recommended you have a bright flashing tail light on your bike.

We will ride west and north to the original "Road to Nepal." There we will climb a significant hill, then turn north and another steep route to the Leighton Art Center. There we will break for lunch.  We will return the same way.

(Note: we may substitute a stop at the Granary Road Learning Park and Farmers' Market depending on conditions.)

We climb very steep hills, but will do them slowly.  (Electric bikes will just have to wait at the top for us.)

The return will be a steep, fast descent.  Hopefully we will coast all the way to the start!

Apres-ride social: Please leave your vehicle at the soccer field and walk to the Stockman's restaurant & lounge for after the ride social.
