Beauty & the Beast a 36 km urban ride jeff h

RIDE - LEVEL:  Intermediate

Ride Description:

The name for this ride only reflects on the scenery during the ride and not the conditions of the route, unless the weather becomes terrible :)  So probably a chance to ride some areas not frequented by EVCC

A 36 km road and pathway route, with 245m of elevation gain with 80% consisting of pathways and 30% of those are new or newly paved.

Ride starts from Pearce Estate Park parking lot: AKA: Livingston Fish Hatchery: AKA: Harvie Rapids and heads West along the Bow Valley Pathway to quiet pretty streets with large trees and light traffic and then onto newer and newly paved bikeways in commercial and light industrial areas, then back into residential areas and the river pathways.
There are a couple of short hills (> 7.% grade), but the group will wait for slower riders there if required.
