Below and Above the Bow Escarpment 29
Ride Level: Urban ride, newcomers and intermediate, easy pace.

Route description:
The route is an elongated circuit, from east to west through historical neighborhoods under the Bow River escarpment and from west to east on crescent roads with views overlooking the city above the cliffs.
Starting from Bottomlands Park, we ride around Tom Campbell Park and travel through Bridgeland, under the McHugh Bluff and Riley Park. We continue through Hillhurst and Parkdale. We turn and ride to the Foothills Medical Centre for views overlooking the city and lunch. Afterward, we travel on the Toronto and Capitol Hill Crescents, through SAIT, on Crescent Road, beside Rotary Park, and past the Ukrainian Catholic Church on 8th and 7th Avenues.

Location: Bottomlands Park, on St. George's Drive NW, north of the Telus Spark Science Center but on the other side of the Road. The first ride stop will be at the Spark Center to visit its washroom.
Operations
- The ride will have a co-leader, a sweep, employ radios, and regroup at intervals. No one will be left behind.
- Bring lunch, snacks, and water.
- Take your route recording device for more enjoyment and the possibility of leading this ride or a suitable variant next year.
- It will be helpful if you arrive 15 minutes before the start for bike preparation, meet and greet, and a quick safety drill.
- E-Bikes are welcome.
Notification and Registration: The system will notify all Friday events and open them for rider registration ONE week beforehand.
Non-members are welcome as guests. They must fill out the waiver on our website under the Join Us/Guest Waiver and email it to guest@elbowvalleycc.org. Members can sponsor and register one guest. Unsponsored guests will be registered as guests of the coordinator after receipt of their waivers.
Waitlist: If you find the ride filled, you are encouraged to put your name on the waitlist. The chances are that you will replace a cancellation done automatically.
Cancellation: Suppose you are signed up and find you have to cancel. Please do so as soon as you know to leave space for someone else. Suppose it is necessary to cancel because of weather or another reason. In that case, I will notify you on this page and by Email or telephone by 8 am on the event day.
