Viking Voyage: Icelandic Creamery and Danish History, Int, 61k, 245m, RichardThorpe

Ride into history with a visit to the Icelandic Village of Markerville, and on to the Danish Museum in Dickson, with an optional gourmet Danish buffet.

Route:  We ride from Spruce View north and east to Markerville, a town of historical sites including the CREAMERY where an ice cream snack is optional.

We then backtrack south and cross the Dickson Dam at the tip of Glennifer Lake for a photo opp. 

Form there we make a brief stop at the Dickson Store, then on to the DANISH CANADIAN MUSEUM.

At the Museum we are treated to a lovely garden setting with a pond, various building, and even a replica of a Viking ship.  Those who wish can have lunch from the SAGA CAFE MENU. We may book a buffet lunch, which includes a beverage and desert, for about $20-25, so please let me know when you register if you want to participate in the buffet, order for yourself, or bring your own lunch.

After lunch it is a short ride back to Spruce View.

As we are riding on country roads, a bright flashing tail light is recommended.
