It’s getting warmer! Celebrate the arrival Spring with your EVCC friends. Get your legs in gear with a social and fun ride through Springbank.

Three route options: Choose from three routes, of varying distances, difficulty levels and speeds. Routes range from 31 to 48 km, with paces ranging from 18 to 28 kph. All routes start and finish at Westside Kings Church in Springbank Hill. Start times will be staggered to avoid large groups in the parking lot and maintain distance among groups on the road.

    ***Changes for COVID safety***

As COVID-19 cases and variants are increasing, we have made some changes to keep our event safe and ensure our 10-person ride groups maintain appropriate physical distancing.

    • 50 km route - location change – Start/parking for the 50 km Springbank Heights Spin and Hill Climb route is changed to Battalion Park School at 369 Sienna Park Dr SW, Calgary, AB T3H 4S2. This is about 1.5 km away from Westside Kings Church (WKC). See the 50 km updated map. (Other groups remain at WKC.)
    • Masks required in parking lots – Wear your mask at all times when not riding, and when it’s not possible to be two meters apart from others.
    • No tailgate parties - Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early. After the ride, don’t stay for more than 15 minutes, remain with your designated group, and don’t mingle with other groups.
    • Pods in parking lots – Coordinators will spread out in the parking lots to keep 10-person ride groups further separated. For groups starting at WKC, watch for your coordinator in the parking lot in the following locations:
      • 11:30 a.m. 40 km with Bill Stillwell – Western edge facing the mountains
      • 12 p.m. 31.5 km with Helen Hayes – Southern edge facing the condos
      • 12:30 p.m. 31.5 km with Jill Sharpe and Stan Bobrow – Southern lamp post
      • 1:00 p.m. 40 km with Tanya Colwell – Northwest lamp post

Sweep: Easy and intermediate route options will have a designated sweep. Friendly and enthusiastic sweepers help make the ride fun and safe for all participants. If you would like to volunteer for this important and greatly appreciated role, please indicate your interest on the registration form. The advanced route option will have no sweep.

COVID rules: Unfortunately, COVID rules require us to limit groups to a max. of 10 people, before, during and after the ride. Please stay with your group and maintain physical distancing throughout the event. Bring a mask for moments when physical distancing may not be possible. Car-pooling with people outside your immediate household is discouraged.

Sorry, no tailgate parties: Due to the rising cases of COVID-19, we will not be able to linger for "tailgate parties" after the ride. Please stay no more than 15 minutes after you finish riding.

Thank you for keeping our season safe and healthy!
